Each portrait begins with a conversation and ends with something you’ll keep forever. I paint original watercolor portraits of beloved pets — capturing not just their likeness, but the particular quality that makes them yours. Commissions are taken on a limited basis to ensure every piece receives the care it deserves.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Reach out — Contact me with a few photos of your pet and a brief description of what you’re hoping to capture.

  2. We find the right photo — I’ll work with you to select the best reference photo. Good light and a clear view of the face make all the difference.

  3. Reserve your spot — A 50% deposit secures your place in the queue and I begin work.

  4. The portrait is completed — I work from your photo without sharing previews along the way. The finished piece is the reveal.

  5. Delivery — Once the remaining balance is received, I ship the original painting to you. Shipping is an additional cost based on your location.

Turnaround is typically one week or more, depending on the current commission queue.

PRICING

4” x 6” — $300

5” x 7” — $500

All portraits are original watercolor on paper. Frames are not included. Shipping is additional and calculated based on your location. A 50% deposit is due to reserve your commission. The remaining balance is due before the finished painting ships.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD PHOTO

You don’t need a professional photo — just a few clear ones taken in good light. Here’s what helps most:

Natural light works best. Outdoors or near a window is ideal.

Eye level or close to it. Photos taken from above tend to flatten the face.

A clear view of the face and eyes. The eyes are the heart of the portrait.

Multiple options are welcome. Send me several and we’ll choose together.

Not sure if your photos will work? Send them anyway and I’ll let you know.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can you paint more than one pet in a portrait?

Yes. Multi-pet portraits are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to discuss sizing and pricing.

Do you paint all types of animals?

Mostly dogs and cats, but I’m open to other pets. Ask and we’ll see.

What if I don’t love the finished portrait?

I take great care to produce something you’ll treasure. Because each piece is a hand-painted original made to order, I’m not able to offer refunds. If something is factually wrong — a wrong eye color, a missing marking — I’ll do my best to address it.

Can I commission a portrait as a gift?

Absolutely. Many clients commission portraits as gifts. Just let me know at the time of inquiry so we can plan the timeline accordingly.

READY TO BEGIN?
